TINY READ :: I CAN DO IT MYSELF!

I mentioned I`ve been buying a lot of gifts for little ones lately.  I picked up this book to go along with the outfit I bought for Miss B for her 1st birthday called I Can Do It Myself! by Stephen Krensky which was illustrated by Sara Gillingham.  There are actually three books in this series by Stephen Krensky which are for ages 2-4, and I`ve bought them for other friend`s kids in the past, too.  I am just so obsessed with the wonderful illustrations by Sara Gillingham - They look like they have been letterpressed!  The book itself has pages that are all made of hard board, so it`s perfect for toddlers as the pages won`t get crumpled.  Here are a few more pics from inside I Can Do It Myself!...

TINY STYLE // 001

Lots of my friends are having babies these days, and I just love shopping for clothes for all the little ones.  They are just so cute!  Lately all my friends seem to be having little girls, but I can't complain - I really enjoy looking at all the little girly clothes to pick out gifts.  I thought I'd start a blog series about style for little ones - Thus, the title, Tiny Style.  This outfit pictured above is one that I picked out for little Miss B who is having her 1st birthday party soon.  I couldn't resist the adorable kitty top and tiny leggings (I guess they are jeggings) from Joe Fresh (purchased at Superstore).  I love the Joe Fresh kids clothes - They have such a great selection and everything is functional and stylish!  The "Ahoy Cutie" sweatshirt was $14 and the jeggings were $8 (photos taken by me).  I think this will be a cute outfit for Miss B to wear this fall. ▲

PURE PAPER EXTRACT

I wanted to share this amazing Etsy shop with all of you, since the designer is from right here in Winnipeg!  Pure Paper Extract is the shop belonging to Donna Hainstock who is a Freelance Graphic Designer.  I stumbled on Donna's booth last fall at a local craft sale, and I picked up a couple of her "Don't Cry" baby onesies for Christmas gifts.  The onesie is made of certified organic cotton, comes in three different colours and sizes, and is screen printed with this ADORABLE original illustration by Donna and her husband.  Isn't it just the cutest?!!?  I've now gifted three of these onesies to different friends who are new parents and everyone has just loved them!  They definitely make original gifts for baby showers!  Also, if you've got some toddlers to buy for, Pure Paper Extract has some aprons with the same "Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk" screen printed on them which would be perfect for little helpers in the kitchen!  They've also got adult size aprons, tea towels and some other neat things - check out the full Pure Paper Extract shop here!  ▲
