MILK MAGAZINE

I recently discovered Milk magazine.  It's tag line is: "Focused on kids, for modern parents."  Even though I don't have kids I just can't help but buy every issue of this magazine - It's full of unique layouts, beautifully styled photo shoots and adorable clothes for little ones.  Although most of the kids clothes featured are over-the-top expensive (I mean, if I had kids I probably wouldn't dress them in a $100 Ralph Lauren sweater...that's a bit much), I still enjoy leafing through each issue of this mag for the pure visual inspiration it provides.  Published in France, Milk releases both a French and English version each month (I purchase the English version from McNally Robinson here in Winnipeg).  Here are some more photos from issue #40 of Milk magazine...

ELLE-INSPIRED ROSE EMBELLISHMENTS

To my surprise and delight, I received a free copy of the August, 2013 edition of Elle Canada magazine in the mail last week.  I'll never turn down a free magazine!  The first thing that struck me about the cover was the use of colourful rose embellishments around the cover model.  They rarely seem to use clip art or graphics on their covers, so it struck me as something really unique.

CURRENTLY OBSESSED: FRANKIE MAGAZINE

Frankie magazine is one of my current obsessions.  I stumbled upon Frankie back in Fall 2012 when I was browsing the extensive selection of magazines at McNally Robinson.  I vaguely remembered reading something about Frankie magazine in my Twitter feed, but I cannot for the life of me remember who was tweeting about it.  Anyways, when I saw a copy of Frankie I took a flip through.  I'm a bit of a magazine hoarder collector so I'm always on the lookout for new magazines to read.  At a quick glance there appeared to be quite a few interesting articles in Frankie, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
