CURRENTLY OBSESSED: FRANKIE MAGAZINE

Frankie magazine is one of my current obsessions.  I stumbled upon Frankie back in Fall 2012 when I was browsing the extensive selection of magazines at McNally Robinson.  I vaguely remembered reading something about Frankie magazine in my Twitter feed, but I cannot for the life of me remember who was tweeting about it.  Anyways, when I saw a copy of Frankie I took a flip through.  I'm a bit of a magazine hoarder collector so I'm always on the lookout for new magazines to read.  At a quick glance there appeared to be quite a few interesting articles in Frankie, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Boy, am I glad I did!  Frankie is the magazine I've been looking for all my life.  It covers all the topics I could ever want to read about in a magazine - real people, affordable fashion and home decor, beautiful photography, handmade sellers from across the globe, independent businesses and more!  It's solid from front to back - the layouts, articles and photography are all interesting and well put together on beautiful, thick pages.  If you want to take a look at the content in the last few issues of Frankie, their website has lots of information on the previous issues.  I highly suggest getting your hands on a copy of Frankie - I don't think you will be disappointed!

After purchasing my first issue of Frankie I was hooked.  Frankie is published bi-monthly, so it comes out six times each year.  Also, since Frankie is published in Australia, it takes seven weeks for it to be available in Canada/USA.  That means waiting a bit longer to get each issue but it's SO worth the wait for such a fantastic magazine.  Luckily I was able to make arrangements for McNally Robinson to put aside a copy of Frankie magazine for me whenever it arrives at the store!  They just call me and let me know when a new issue arrives and I can go down to the store to pick up and pay for my copy.  I didn't realize they offered such a service until I asked, and I'm so glad that I don't have to worry about scouring their magazine section weekly to see if I can get a hold of the next issue of Frankie.  If you are in Winnipeg and wanted to get your hands on Frankie magazine you can always give McNally Robinson a call and inquire about reserving a copy of Frankie for yourself, too.  ▲

  2. Hi Daphne! I'm so glad you found your way over here - thanks so much for your sweet comment and for adding me to your blog roll. I am glad we were able to connect. I was looking for some other Winnipeg bloggers as well, so I'm glad we have found each other online. :)

You should totally call McNally and ask about having a copy of Frankie put aside for you. I now have a few magazines they put aside for me when they come in and it's just so convenient. I don't have to worry about stalking the magazine section weekly to try and get my hands on my favourites.
